  1. So – after eighty one days of lockdown I finally beat my son at table tennis for 2 consecutive games on my dining room table! Wahey! 2 bats, balls and a simple collapsable net was an early lockdown purchase. That has been well worth the money with skills and coordination improved all round. I think whenever we play table tennis now we will reflect on the spring of 2020. What a joy also to be able to meet up with a couple of friends who live in Dorset. We picked Chard as a halfway destination. Had takeaway coffees in the local Tesco and found a park for our socially distanced picnic. We had planned a walk but in the end we were just happy to chat for 4 hours! We clearly had missed physical social companionship and chat. Bliss.
