Day 42. I was reminded today that 42 is in fact the answer to the “Ultimate Question of Life, The Universe, and Everything” realised after 7½ million years of calculated reasoning by supercomputer “Deep Thought”, a computer specially built for this purpose by a group of hyper-intelligent pan-dimensional beings – as recorded by Douglas Adams circa 1978. Deep Thought was also named “Earth” by it’s residents, if I remember correctly.
Also “Here’s to alcohol: the cause of, and solution to, all of life’s problems” – as noted by Homer Simpson circa throughout a lifetime. (Read it in his voice).
Been kept very busy by a good mix of shop work, prep for VE75 and virtual-catch-ups with friends far away. I remain so grateful to those who are nearby and offer comfort and companionship during this period of Lockdown. I’m still missing my partner and friends very badly and am anxious to return to their company as soon as possible/safe. I sent letters to my grandparents last week and recieved a letter in reply today with news/updates; I think I will have built up a nice Lockdown-archive by the time things return to ‘normal’… Took a delivery in the Morris today of Champagne and cake for a wedding anniversary; many happy returns to that couple. It has been a great pleasure and very freeing to take short drives in my Moggy for food deliveries… I hope the sight and sound ‘Snowdrop’ brings the same joy to others. Not been getting enough exercise – must address this!
