Day Ninety-Two

Bishopsteignton Lockdown Diary

Today’s Government briefing – the last as it turns out apparently – and other news. We will be moving to a weekly summary as a result, until the situation changes further.

Thoughts and feelings of the village as it faces the ninety-second day and the fourteenth week of what is actually still partial lockdown. Logged in visitors can post their comments below.

While responses to the Coronavirus Lockdown develop over the weeks, we want to record thoughts and actions in Bishopsteignton one day at a time. Please leave two or three sentences and any images you may have in the comments section below. Tomorrow we shall lock these comments and publish Day Eighty-Five.

  1. Well, Boris delivers apparently great news to the very businesses that will suffer the most if we go back into lockdown. Meanwhile his very worried looking scientific advisors tell us the news isn’t actually that great, scientifically speaking. No further daily briefings to follow.

Staying where I am for the meantime (at home), will let the science/evidence of what actually happens over the next 3-6 weeks decide my emergence from shielding – results of the relaxation of lockdown, emergence of effective treatment, possible data regarding my particular condition vs actual need to shield base on statistically significant data.

Nothing has changed except what I see other people doing….

I am lucky the population will be carrying out this experiment on my behalf.
