Today we had a visit from my in-laws. Our daughter was so excited to be seeing her grandma and grandpa for the first time in over 3 months! It was all a bit strange when they arrived as we would normally have hugs all round. We stood a few meters apart all looking at each other and welling up! They brought their own flask of coffee and sandwiches and we chatted in the garden. Our daughter knew she could not hug or touch them and was SO good about it. We later ventured to Shaldon and had a wander. They had to come into the house to use the facilities but had brought their own bleached cloths in bags to wipe everything down! We were dreading goodbye and expected a tantrum but luckily our daughter was engrossed in her new pet snail! We all welled up again and waved them off. A lovely day!
