Annual Huntly Flower Show circa 1969
A brilliant piece of cinematic village history, which shows many village families having fun in the grounds of Huntly.
Villagers entered flowers and vegetables that they had grown in their gardens. Some years the Boy Sea Scouts came with a display band; maypole dancing from the primary school children was a regular event and stalls sold second hand items and produce donated by the residents of Bishopsteignton. Art work and items made by the school children were also judged and adult and children’s races, including egg and spoon and wheelbarrow races were a great source of fun for all.
