WW2 D-Day Normandy 75th Anniversary Commemorations

We came to remember and honour all those who gave their lives to liberate Europe 75 years ago. On June 6th 2019 Arromanches beach in Normandy was filled once more with the sounds and smells of military jeeps and ambulances and amphibious vehicles emerging from the sea. Hundreds of onlookers, many dressed in 1940s costumes, enjoyed the spectacle and remaining veterans arrived to pay their respects. We were all grateful for peace.
